Gaming News Valve Announces Left4Dead 2
Posted by UnDead on Tuesday, June 02 @ 10:11:22 EDT (14 reads)

Sequel to Best-Selling Co-op Thriller Coming This Holiday

June 1, 2009 - Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Half-Life and Counter-Strike) and leading technologies (such as Steam and Source), today announced Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2), the sequel to the best-selling and critically-acclaimed co-operative multiplayer thriller.

Coming exclusively to Xbox 360 and PC, L4D2 promises to set a new benchmark for co-operative action games and become one of 2009's marquee titles.

Set for release on November 17, the title adds melee combat to enable deeper co-operative gameplay, with items such as a chainsaw, frying pan, axe, baseball bat, and more.

Introducing the AI Director 2.0, L4D's dynamic gameplay is taken to the next level by giving the Director the ability to procedurally change weather effects, world objects, and pathways in addition to tailoring the enemy population, effects, and sounds to match the players' performance. The result is a unique game session custom fitted to provide a satisfying and uniquely challenging experience each time the game is played.

Featuring new Survivors, boss zombies, weapons, and items, Left 4 Dead 2 offers a much larger game than the original with more co-operative campaigns, more Versus campaigns, and maps for Survival mode available at launch.

OCG News Building a New Foundation
Posted by Rammstein on Friday, November 14 @ 11:16:57 EST (207 reads)

CoD5 is in full swing and we have actually been building the server the past few nights.  Thanks to all the OCG members who have been making this possible.  It'll be important moving forward to continue this effort to build a new foundation.

If you are new to OCG and you've been playing on our server, thank you for visiting us.  Make sure to register on our site and get to know us through the forums as well as in-game (join us on TS, see the side bar for TS information!).

Now I would like to shamelessly plug my last CoD4 compilation one more time.  If you are new to OCG or you aren't but haven't seen it yet, check out this CoD4 compilation that I put together.  It was a long and tedious process but the end result really paid off!  I have a lot of video left but this will probably be my last one for CoD4.  CoD5 (and all of you!) will be my next target...

Call of Duty News Infinity Ward back for next Call of Duty game
Posted by Anarchy on Tuesday, September 16 @ 18:20:36 EDT (115 reads)

It's been rumoured for quite some time that Infinity Ward will develop Call of Duty 6, taking back the franchise reigns again after Treyarch developed Call of Duty: World at War. Fans will be pleased to hear then that Activision Blizzard has confirmed this to be true at an Analyst Day.

With that settled we're now left wondering when we'll see the game. Over the past few years Treyarch and Infinity Ward have released a game a piece every two years, meaning we've had a new CoD game every year since Call of Duty 2 in 2005.

Activision Blizzard CEO Mike Griffith reportedly mentioned both a 2009 and 2010 release date for the game at the event, suggesting that we might be in for a wait after the release of World at War.
